The Miami Suns Baseball Program will be holding a second tryout/pro style workout on Saturday, January 28th, 2012 at 11:00 AM. The workout will be held at American High School. All players from ages 14 – 18 are welcomed to come.
We will be fielding a 14U,16U, 17U, and 18U teams to compete in Perfect Game and ProspectWire and other showcase tournaments starting in May of 2012 with the Perfect Game Memorial Day Classic in Ft Myers, Fl
14U/18U teams will travel to 3 tournaments while the 16u/17u will compete in 5 tournaments. All teams will have team and position workouts twice a week and will include speed and agility workouts as well. Pitchers will have a bullpen and conditioning session weekly.
Our rosters sizes are limited to maximize playing time and practice reps.
Our $25 fee includes a T-Shirt and $20 will be reduced from player dues if selected to play in the Miami Suns Baseball program.
Keep in mind that this will be a pro style workout which will include, infield/outfield , timed 60, live batting practice , pop times for catchers and bullpen session for the pitchers and catchers. Numerous of College Coaches and Pro Scouts have been invited to this event.
The workout & tryout will be conducted by the Miami Suns staff which include Chris Keighley(Coach at St. Thomas University & current 18U Suns Head Coach), Ricky Gutierrez (Former Major Leaguer, Head Coach of the 17U Program and American High), Kiki Antonini (Head Coach of our 14U Team and Player Development), Otis Green (Suns Program Pitching Instructor), Jesus Castro (17u Asst Head Coach/ Program Trainer) and Lenny Harris (Former Major Leaguer, Suns Player Development Consultant).
